Refilling cartridges is like changing oil in motor vehicles. It is not a cumbersome task. You yourself can do that. You cannot fill all cartridges using a single method, because all brands make different types of cartridges. Since the technology and the types differ it is essential to refill by brand.
Precautions:In this Brother MFC-7150 Printer the ink cartridge has an internal cartridge and this retains the ink. It is messy to refill so use gloves. With the help of syringe slowly push the ink deep into the sponge till it is saturated with ink. Take out the syringe and close the hole.
Canon:In this brand also ink is retained by the internal sponge. Find the small hole which has been plugged, fill the syringe bottle half full of ink and slowly inject till the sponge in the cartridge is saturated. Remove the syringe, clean the overflow of ink and close the hole in order to use.
Compaq:Lexmark Black Cartridge and Other brands like Dell Lexmark, Sharp and Xerox have a similar design and can follow the same instructions. Place the cartridge on the newspaper; put a hole on the top from the edge. In the Compaq cartridge look for the letter “O”. With the help of syringe slowly .Push the ink deep into the sponge till it is saturated with ink. Take out the syringe and close the hole.
Lexmark:Lexmark Black Cartridge and other brands like Dell, Lexmark, Sharp and Xerox have a similar design and can follow the above mentioned instructions. In the Lexmark cartridge look for the letter “E”.
Color Ink Refill:Just like the Black ink refill system, even the color ink cartridges also have the sponge to retain the ink. Keep the cartridge on the flat place; remove the glued-on-top. Divide the color and black plastic. With the help of the syringe needle fill all the chambers with ink.
